The Admissions Committee will

The Admissions Committee will consider only your highest score when reviewing your application, but will not combine subscores from multiple exams into a single composite score. Columbia Business School’s GMAC code is QF8-N6-36.

In place of the GMAT, the Admissions Committee will accept GRE (Graduate Record Examination) test scores for applicants who have not taken the GMAT within the last five years. If you have taken both the GMAT and GRE within the last five years, only your GMAT scores will be considered. GRE scores are only valid if the GMAT was not taken after January 2005 and if the GRE was taken after January 1, 2010. Columbia Business School’s GRE code is 6442.

Please note: ETS is rolling out a new version of the GRE beginning on August 1, 2011, in which content and score scaling will be altered significantly. This rollout significantly affects receipt of scores. Specifically, for tests administered between August and September, scores will be reported starting in early November. And, during this time period, the “unofficial” scores provided on test day will list a “likely” score range spanning 100 points. Due to these changes, the Admissions Office strongly suggests taking the GRE prior to August. Taking the test with admission essay between August and October will delay the review of your application until the Admissions Office has received your official test scores.
